Can you change the dimensions of your video on iMovie to fit YouTube?

mac screen capture
Maccajac asked:

Hey all,

I record video from my games console using a capture card, which records video in the size 640 x 480.

I always edit my footage in iMovie, but whenever I try to upload in widescreen there are black bars on each side of the screen.

Using the “Crop” feature removes the black bars from the side of the screen, but I also lose the top and bottom of the video, which isn’t ideal.

I was wondering if it was possible to change the dimensions of the video without cropping any of it out, or if iMovie doesn’t allow this; are there any programs on Mac that do?

Thanks in advance.

So I press F2 and the computer tries to do something but then I get a blue screen, so I turn my computer off with the power button and the next time after I hit F2 I hit F8 for advanced startup options and select start my computer normaly and then I can get on.

Also, when I start my computer, I get this anoying thing that pop-ups and says a key component wtk kernel is missing. The computer is also extremely sluggish and randomly shuts down. The time and date is also wrong and sometimes the screen randomly doesn’t turn on for a period of time, so I replaced the Cr2032 battery because I though there was something wrong with the BIOS, which I got a message before saying there was. I also put the BIOS settings back to the Default settings (and saved them) but it didn’t do anything.

Also, I orderd this virus protection from Verizon but it won’t download because theres an IE error. Speaking of which, I keep getting these certificate errors for almost every page I go on online. I also download hiijack this heres my log file if it helps…

raspyogurt asked:

so my roommate and i have been trying to set up the internet in our new apartment the last couple of days. we have a cable modem and subscription and we connect via an ethernet cable. the internet works fine on her pc, but on mine, only some websites will load, like gmail, yahoo, and wikipedia. others, like facebook, livejournal, and my bank website, will not load. we thought it might be a firewall issue but i had it turned off already. i don’t know what else to do. the problem seems to be some internal mac problem, not something to do with my modem or service since we already called them about it and everything appeared to be in normal working condition. seriously, HELP!!

How to install Photoshop CS2 onto an iMac?

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008
PDF Software for mac
Callie asked:

I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 and an iMac, version OS X 10.4.11, with Tiger installed. Once I insert the first CD that comes with CS2, the Mac reads it as Creative Suite 2 but there is no way I can download the software onto my computer. Almost everything has links that the Mac cannot open (thus says: There is no default application specified to open the document) The only thing I CAN open are the html links and PDF links on how to install, which, unfortunately, do not assist with why I cannot install CS2.

Firstly, is CS2 compatible with Macintosh?
And secondly, if it is, can you please give me some advice/help on how to install?

Thank you very much for all your help!

I randomly can’t receive or send msn messages sometimes?

The Littlest Froggy asked:

For the last week or so my boyfriend and I have been having trouble with our msns. Sometimes we can’t receive each other’s messages, while other times a “this message cannot be sent” thing comes up. Sometimes it doesn’t show up at all though, it just goes through and we have no idea if the other person got it until they reply. It’s really irritating, this hasn’t happened before for this long.

If it makes a difference, I’m on a Mac OS X, he’s on a PC, I do have a small firewall on my modem but it has never given problems before. Neither of us think it’s any sort of internet connection problem since our signals don’t seem to falter, we don’t get logged off, and we can surf the net without interruption while our messages get bounced back.

Is there anything that could be causing this? Any way to fix it?

mac trojan remove
Malason asked:

I have a 1 year old MacBook. All the people I know who have Mac’s were telling me I don’t need virus protection. So I was surfing the net using Firefox when a warning went on saying my Firefox has detected a very dangerous virus (spyware) as well as a Worm and a Trojan in my computer. It gave me a link to an anti virus program to download. It said it got rid of the Trojan but the spyware virus could not be removed. After this I went back into my computer and saw that my master lock had been turned off. I put it back on and it encrypted my files once again.

Have I made a mistake encrypting my files now, with this supposed virus in my computer?

What would you do in this situation?
