Lucifer asked: I had limewire before and it worked perfect, never got a virus, and never had any problems. Recently i had to reinstall my operating system (nothing to do with limewire) and therefore limewire. Now when i open it, it just stays at the “Connecting” status. It also says that it detects a firewall, but when i goto my system preferences (system preferences/Internet & Network/sharing/firewall) it says my Firewall is turned off! What is the problem!?
I’m sure some windows users will tell me that Limewire is bad and blah blah blah, come on folks, its a mac thing, help me out.

hardoon asked: I don’t have any antivirus app running on my Mac. I know that it isn’t susceptible to many viruses, but I often send email and exchange files with Windows users, including co-workers and clients. Is it likely that I would transfer viruses this way?

ps3723_24 asked: The Mac is connected via ethernet cable, and the PC will be wireless. I have security software already installed on the Mac, but I want to run a separate security suite w/ antivirus, anti-spyware and two-way firewall on the PC. Will this cause any problems between the two computers?

margotroid asked: The last few weeks when I get certain emails with pdf attachments, I will scan and save to my computer just like always. Instead of opening in a pdf file that I can read, it shows up as a “secure download”. I can not open these… I have then tried to “open with” say Microsoft word and the html etc and it just opens it with the garble de gook.
I have an apple g-4 dual processor…and use safari…therefore the virus stuff doesn’t apply.
I have a feeling its in the senders software to try and protect me….

Secretsong asked: Hi I bought the CS4 Design standard student edition for mac.
I’m no longer studying the course in which I intended to use it, I haven’t opened it.
I’m still a student.
My question is, can I still use the software.
And would it be worth it to sell it instead, I don’t see any real use for it now apart from playing around.
I tried to sell it on ebay and my account was blocked because I wasn’t an authorised adobe re-seller
Are there any other ways I could sell the program?
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks

Tara asked: I’m considering purchasing a new laptop. I would use it primarily for writing and internet applications. I am looking for a computer with a long battery life and wireless internet capabilities. I’m open to an Apple computer, but have never had one and their iBooks seem pricy compared to their desktops. Also, I’d really prefer competent customer service and support and something that I can maybe get some free software or a printer with.
