Tyson asked:
Does a mac on Leopard need antivirus.
I have heard of a porn trojan recently
Do you think 2008 will have lots of mac viruses
Are macs now being taken seriously.

The answer is yes… Norton and McAfee both have them.
In the early days of Macintosh, there were some seriously nasty viruses. But more recently I haven’t come across any from using e-mail. I honestly don’t use it on my OS X Mac. All the e-mail viruses target Windoze. There are some viruses aimed at iTunes. You are not immune, but they are rare.
In the end, whatever PC or Mac you use, don’t open attachments from people that you don’t know. And don’t use active content from sites that you are unfamiliar with.
There are no Mac OSX viruses in the wild, but it’s by no means impossible for a Mac virus to exist. You can use the free antivirus software ClamAV on Macs -
I wouldn’t really bother. Noone writes viruses for macs because there aren’t really that many of them out there.
Hackers mostly target windows machines, so you’re fine.
