cad software for mac
tkdnsacountry asked:

I am curently looking to buy a new computer. I have already decided to buy a notebook computer because I am a student and it will be more convenient for me to be able to take it to class. It is way past time for me to get a new computer. My current desktop is running Windows 98SE. I’m just not sure how much hard drive I need or how much memory. I am a Computer Aided Design and Drafting student. I also am interested in doing graphic design. People in the past have suggested Mac, but with all of the changes in technology I understand that Mac has become nothing more than an over priced PC. There used to be many better components in a Mac, but now the only major difference is higher priced software. I know I want a notebook pc running Windows Vista. I’m trying to decide about the hard drive size, the amount of memory, the graphics card, the screen size, and the battery life. I am interested in any information anyone can give me about graphics and CAD software, also.

mac Antivirus
Maria asked:

I’m a student and I’m going to need a new laptop for school. I never touched a Mac before and have grown up with PC all my life.
The main programs that I need/use are:
Microsoft word, powerpoint, Pinnacle (movie making program), excel, **adobe photoshop (not elements), and itunes.
The main features I want are:
Light weight, sufficent memory, longest battery life possible, all the programs I listed (or something like them, it doesn’t have to be the exact same program name), and decently fast.
I have so many problems with my current PC laptop with all the annoying updates and antivirus garbage.
I went to a store today and learned some things about Mac. I throught it was really good. However my cousin, a computer teacher, says Mac is not all great like everyone says…
I already researched both types myself but there seems so much contradictory stuff… I don’t know what sources to trust.
So I’m looking for honest professional opinions on which you think is better for me.
Also if there is a specific model that you think is good please tell me.
Thank you so much!
Detail – I’m sure can I learn how to deal with Mac, that isn’t a problem.

- Also, the stuff I’m using it for is just really basic and all for school projects.

digital photos macintosh
imrational asked:

I do a lot of hiking/backpacking and travel. I want something durable, with a good battery life, that is compatible with a Macintosh computer, etc. I have a little experience with an SLR 35mm, but am more interested in a point&shoot for this camera.

I want something simple that takes photos well enough that I can get the photos printed and hang on a wall.
